About me.
My Name is Joel Vander Weele, and I am a practitioner of Corporate Performance Management. I have been working in this area since high school, where I built a financial reporting system for my employer using a spreadsheet on an Atari 64k personal computer. In college I helped several businesses implement new Accounting and Financial Reporting Systems. Technologies have changed, and my clients got bigger, but the essence of what I do today is very similar to what I did in high school and college. CPM is about using enabling technologies to improve the processes underlying how organizations are managed. Improving these processes help business leaders plan the future of their businesses, deploy resources, measure performance, make decisions, and manage risk. I am a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. I hold a Bachelorâ??s of Science in Accountancy from Calvin College and a Masters in Business Administration from Loyola University â?? Chicago.
